We aim to make it as easy as possible for the client to understand what is happening in every step of the process, starting with when you call us.
Below is a step by step guide of the service you will receive from Preserve & Protect starting with initial contact all the way to our after-care.
Initial contact.
When you contact us we will ask you a few questions about the problem you may have. If we can’t fix it with advice we will arrange a visit to carry out a survey when convenient to you.
Survey.
We will visit your home and carry out a full detailed survey of the property. We cannot and will not just visit your property and inspect the area/s you believe to be suffering from damp. In order for us to correctly gauge the problems causing your dampness we must start from the outside and work our way in. We will inform you as we progress with what we are doing. We take note on many factors that could contribute or cause dampness.
The general outside condition of the house, the condition of drainage pipes, outside floor levels, missing/broken roof tiles, many things which you may think unnecessary but are actually a must when inspecting a property.
For instance – You may think you have rising damp but when we visit and check the ‘problem area’ we notice an exterior rainwater pipe is broken causing water to ingress through the render to the interior wall. This is penetrating damp not rising damp and is a lot less costly to fix than if it were rising damp.
We like to be as transparent as possible and encourage the client to ask any questions they feel the need to ask. On our visit we have a very helpful information booklet that we share with the client to explain the process we are undertaking and supply information on the various products we use.
Survey Report & Estimate.
Once we have completed our survey we will issue the client with a detailed report of our findings and conclusions/recommendations.
This may include an Estimate for any work we deem necessary to carry out to remedy /prevent the future occurrence of damp.
Again we encourage the home owner to ask any questions they may have regarding any part of the process.
If the homeowner chooses to accept and contract and work schedule will be agreed prior to commencement of any work being undertaken.
Any variations/additions to the original Estimate will NOT be carried out until an agreement has been agreed between the company and the client in writing so you can be 100% certain your final bill won’t contain any ‘hidden’ extras.
Guarantees/Aftercare.
We are able to offer Sovereign Chemicals Insurance backed Guarantees ranging from 10 to 30 years. They can cover not only materials used, but also the workmanship to complete the contract. The Guarantee also gives full cover in the event of any failure even if the original contractor is no longer is business/bankrupt or deceased.
They are available at a small additional one-off cost of the initial work being carried out.
We don’t plan on going anywhere and as you can see are easily contactable so were more than happy to help with anything once the work has been completed.
We pride ourselves in completing work to the highest standards and leaving every client fully satisfied with their results, give us the chance to fulfil your needs and we won’t disappoint you.
